One of Ireland’s musical treasures is back on tour and making a stop in Hamilton, Ontario this September at First Ontario Concert Hall! Singer Daniel O’Donnell will perform his mix of musical genres that can only be described as eclectic, ranging from traditional Irish songs and favourites mixed with country, gospel, rock, movie and whatever else tickles his fancy of the moment.
His most recent album, 2017’s Back Home Again, includes covers of Kris Kristofferson’s Me And Bobby McGee and Help Me Make It Through The Night, Lead Belly’s Cotton Fields Back Home, Delaney & Bonnie’s Never Ending Song Of Love, Hank Williams’ Why Don’t You Love Me (Like You Used To Do) and Pat Boone’s hit Love Letters in the Sand. O’Donnell has had an album on the UK charts every year since 1988, surpassing artists worldwide, including Michael Jackson, the Rolling Stones, Madonna and Ireland’s rock royalty, U2. O’Donnell is a six-time country artist of the year. He’s also won several entertainer of the year awards and received an honorary MBE from Queen Elizabeth in 2002, the year he was featured on U.S. television, spawning a new army of fans on this side of the Atlantic Ocean.
