ITINERARY AT A GLANCE

DAY ONE: SUN, OCT 15

7:30 am Depart Kingston Shrine Club. Please see other pickup times and locations. Regular stops will be made en route for stretching, coffee, and lunch.
2:00 pm Take a sightseeing cruise aboard the 300 passenger Miss Midland and experience the sparkling water, windswept pines and rocky grandeur of the Muskoka – Georgian Bay’s 30,000 islands, the finest cruising area in the northern hemisphere!
6:30 pm Arrive at our amazing resort! Embracing Peninsula Lake, Deerhurst Resort (705) 789-6411 is your year-round retreat for a Muskoka vacation or getaway to Ontario’s famous “cottage country,” one of National Geographic Traveller Magazine’s “Best of the World” recommended places to visit. Ideal for fun-filled vacations, year-round getaways and meetings. Check in and relax! Dinner tonight is at the Resort, followed by an evening to enjoy all the resort has to offer. It’s a leisurely evening of autumn bliss!

DAY TWO: MON, OCT 16

8:00 am Enjoy breakfast at the resort before we head out for a delightful day. After breakfast we will depart for Gravenhurst.
10:00 am Step back in time as you enjoy a guided tour of the Muskoka Discovery Centre. We’ll be joined by our local guide where we will discover this enchanting cottage country! We’ll enjoy an included lunch together during our delightful exploration of the area!
2:00 pm We’ll travel to the Johnston’s Cranberry Marsh. We’ll end our day with a special tour of the signature Canadian Experience! This is the oldest cranberry marsh in the province. Harvesting takes place through October by flooding the beds, a mechanical picker separates the berries while conveyors and boats bring them to shore.We will have an opportunity to sample preserves and other products at the food tent and gift store.
4:00 pm After this wonderful day we’ll enjoy an included dinner together before we return to the resort. Enjoy the evening at your leisure at our resort tonight.

DAY THREE: TUES, OCT 17

Enjoy breakfast again this morning at the Resort and enjoy a relaxing morning.
11:00 am Check out and bid farewell to the Deerhurst Resort and head to Algonquin Park to gaze at the amazing fall colours!
12:45 pm Depart from Huntsville, driving through Algonquin Park enjoying the beautiful fall colours!
2:00 pm We’ll arrive at the Visitor’s Centre for a mid-afternoon comfort stop. Opened in 1993 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Algonquin Provincial Park and the entire Ontario provincial park system, the Algonquin Park Visitor Centre has world class exhibits on the Park’s natural and human history, a relaxing restaurant and an excellent bookstore. A theatre presentation sums up the Park story and then takes you out to the viewing deck from where you can admire a breathtaking panorama of wild Algonquin landscape. Here we’ll enjoy a boxed lunch while surrounded by the stunning autumn colours!
2:45 pm We continue our journey home, enjoying the wonderful fall foliage.
7:30 pm Approximate arrival back in Kingston.
