Dear Mom’s,
I want to wish you a very Happy Mothers Day! If you are like me, you may be missing your mom this mothers day. Traditionally we use this day to celebrate the amazing women in our lives who have raised us, give each other hugs, drink a few glasses of wine and treat mom like a queen.
Know that no matter how far apart you may be that the love of a mother can stretch across oceans and mountains to reach you! I look forward to when we can travel again and make more memories with mom.
So raise a glass and cheers to them!
With Love to all Mom’s on your special day,
Megan
Dear friends,
This has been a time unlike any other. It has been a full year of pandemic ups and downs, lockdowns, stay at home orders, online learning, zoom calls and we are all missing each other so dearly. For us, just like you, it’s been a year of baking, eating, gardening, Tiger King, Netflix, social distancing, take out, just to name a few. We truly have been in this together and what a celebration awaits when we can once again eat, drink and be merry together!
We have been keeping busy working and planning new and exciting tour programs so that when the time is right, we can return to what we love doing; travelling, sharing experiences together, making memories and hugging one another – oh, the hugs that await!
These unprecedented times have allowed us to pause and reflect on what is important. We have been re-evaluating our tours, safety procedures and services so that when we welcome you back with open arms travel will be safer and better than ever. Our highest priority is always the safety of our clients and our team. We are working closely with our professional associations to developing new safety measures to ensure our tours are designed to be safe, comfortable and enjoyable. In this “new world” we are living in, you will notice some changes, but we promise you that once you are onboard, you’ll have the same wonderful experiences that you’ve always enjoyed.
When we gradually begin to roll out carefully selected tours they will be close to home. We’ll be working closely with our trusted hospitality partner restaurants, hotels, attractions and theatres as they too begin the long re-opening process. We are hoping to expand to include the East Coast this fall as well as the Agawa Canyon Stream Trail Fall Colours tour. With excitement, we anticipate a full return to our Maple Leaf Tours by next spring.
Our Tours will be flexible and new tours will be gradually added as we make our way together through this pandemic to come out on the other side. We expect our tours to be ever changing as we continue to follow various health requirements. Improvements are being made to our online booking system so you can comfortably book from your computer, iPad, laptop or phone when the travel bug lands softly, beckoning you to once again share adventures with us. To keep our team safe, we remain closed but are available during regular business hours by telephone(613) 384-0012 or email info@MapleLeafTours.com
We have some exciting news to share!

And finally, we have an awesome YouTube channel where you can watch amazing footage of the incredible destinations we visit! www.YouTube.com You’ll see the wonderful videos of the European River Cruises that are in the works for 2022 and beyond and many more!
As the vaccine rollouts take shape we are watching the updates and as such, we will make further announcements when we have accurate information. We understand that everyone will be ready to return to travel at different times, at your own pace, depending on your comfort level. We will be here waiting for you when that time comes.
We miss you dearly and can’t wait for the day when we can be together again.
Until then, take good care and be kind to one another.
Hugs from all of us, Kristine Geary and the entire Maple Leaf Tours team

Dear friends,
As we move into summer with sunshine filled days and warm nights, we are thinking of you. We are sending our love as we continue to remain positive and look to the future with optimistic hearts. At a time where we would usually be getting ready to travel and share new adventures we find ourselves having to dream of new journeys that await us. Our world is still fragile and we are all patiently doing our part to help in the healing. Bravo for being so awesome!
We want to send our heartfelt thanks to everyone that is helping to support so many local small businesses that are struggling during this very difficult time. Takeout meals, curb side pickups or delivery orders – it is true, it takes a village! We are so blessed to live in such a wonderful country and in communities that support and care for one another. We can never thank our essential workers enough for all they do to keep us safe every day.
Our Maple Leaf Tours team have been using this time to discover new and fun pastimes! Betty has taken up the trampoline becoming a child again playing with her grandchildren. Richard is giving Mike Holmes a run for his money as a project pro! We love that Margaret has just discovered Netflix and we are all eagerly sending her our favourite series and movies to watch! Kristine is watching Mark Cullen videos trying to become a master gardener and is failing miserably but instead trying constantly to keep Lincoln out of the flowerbeds!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Father’s Day and although we can’t be together to celebrate, a phone call, text or video will help keep us close at heart. It is a difficult time being apart from our loved ones and when the time is right we shall cherish every special moment that we can spend together, knowing how valuable they are. So for now, let’s take heart in small joys and await the time when we can hold each other again. Aren’t hugs the best?
Even though our offices remain closed indefinitely, we are always working remotely and are here to help you in any way we can. You can reach us by phone 613-384-0012 from Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 5 pm or by email info@MapleLeafTours.com. We are posting new, updates and photos on our website as well as on our Facebook and Instagram pages if you want to follow along with the fun! We sure miss you and it’s one way we can keep in touch.
As we continue through these uncertain times, there will be good days, bad days, funny days, scary days, play days, work days, holidays and HEYdays! It is important to remember that we are not alone. We are all experiencing this together and if you would like to chat or ever need someone to talk to, we are here for you. We are only a phone call away and would be happy to hear from you. It is important that we are here for one another and try to help where ever and whenever we can, however we can.
We think of you often and remember our wonderful shared travels and experiences. We can hardly wait for you to join us for more adventures to make unforgettable memories. Until then, be kind to one another and yourself. With much love,
Kristine

Coronavirus Travel Alert – May 9, 2020
Dear friends,
As a mother, a friend, a community volunteer and a business woman, I am thinking of you as we brave this social isolation together. I know that we all miss the connection of friends and family near and far.
I have long believed that travel and shared experiences enrich our lives. With time now to sit and look back on the many wonderful memories made while on tour with so many lovely clients, a big smile crosses my face. Reflections of cities visited and cruises taken flood back as I reminisce at photographs taken, Broadway shows enjoyed, delicious foods I’ve tried around the world and wonderful people I have been blessed to meet along the way! I am thankful for the wonderful memories that now brighten my days and I look forward to so many more with you.
Mother’s Day is more meaningful this year yet more difficult. There is something special about Mother’s Day, it’s a time to pay tribute to the person who provides loving care and encouragement through the ups and downs of life, especially now. Being a mother is never easy and has become even more complicated during these challenging times. Our mothers are strong, courageous and hopeful – they keep hope alive no matter how dark it gets.
As we think of our Mothers this year, let’s take a moment to remember what we love so much about her – her voice, her laugh, her advice, her humour, her perfume or her touch. Mothers are the glue that keep us together so don’t miss the opportunity to share with them how much they mean to you. During this time of isolation a warm voice on the other end of the phone, a text, a video chat or standing outside the window – whatever you can do to let them know you are thinking of them. Keep them safe while doing so, but be creative.
We are truly inspired by those selfless workers on the front lines battling COVID-19 – health care workers, first responders, essential employees who have to balance caring for their communities and their families. This Mother’s Day they will be working protecting us so we can stay home and stay safe. We thank and honour you.
Even though we can’t travel right now, our goal is still the same and for now we invite you recall your favourite travel experiences with fondness while looking forward to awesome trips ahead. We would love for you to follow us on Facebook or Instagram and enjoy our photos and read our stories with a little imagination. We hope they help you escape without leaving home.
These moments remind us that we are connected like never before. We’re called upon to be our best selves, with patience, understanding and compassion. Our Maple Leaf Tours team are all safe and looking forward to seeing you all again soon. With miles of smiles in store, from my family to yours, stay safe, stay healthy and stay positive. When the time is right, we will travel again so until them – Dream Big!

Coronavirus Travel Alert – March 2020
To our Maple Leaf Tour Family,
In a heartbeat our world has changed. This crisis makes it important for us to come together, look out for one another and help each other look forward with hope. For now, we need to stay home to help the world heal. It is time to take care of ourselves and each other, together we are better.
In order to keep our beloved team safe, we have temporarily closed both our Kingston and Belleville offices. When the time is right, we’ll reopen our doors and welcome you with open arms. We are always here for you and will be working remotely. You can contact us by phone (613) 384-0012 or email us info@MapleLeafTours.com. We are in touch with guests whose tours have been affected.
We share your disappointment that the great tours we had planned for you were either cancelled or postponed. For now, we reflect on all the wonderful travel memories shared and dream of future trips to come! We miss you and look forward to the time where we can be together again.
This pandemic will run its course and we will survive and thrive when we turn the corner. We are financially sound and have loyal and devoted clients who will weather this storm with us. When it passes, we will be stronger than ever and look forward to hitting the road with you once again!
For now, we need to stay healthy, stay safe and stay positive.
We will travel again when the time is right. Until then, take good care and dream big!
