DAY 1: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
8:00 am Depart from the Kingston Shrine Club at 8 am and travel to Quebec City where we’ll check into our pre-stay hotel the Hilton Quebec a short walk from the Kent Gate, before we enjoy a wonderful included dinner at a Quebec Countryside Sugar Shack with traditional entertainment!  
DAY 2: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13
  This morning after an included breakfast, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Quebec City and area with a local guide. Then it’s ALL ABOARD the NORWEGIAN GEM for the next 7 days.  You’ll have time to settle into your cabins and get a bite to eat before you explore the ship and we set sail from  Quebec City!  Quebec City lies on the Saint Lawrence River and is divided by steep bluffs into Upper Town – which includes the old quarter – and Lower Town. Perched atop Cap-Diamant, the old quarter is the only walled city in North America and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 
DAY 3: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14
  Relax and enjoy the autumn scenery as we sail down the St. Lawrence towards the Maritimes! The Norwegian GEM has something for everyone!

DAY 4: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI Opulent clapboard villas lead the way towards Charlottetown’s beautiful Victoria Park. Color is everywhere – from the Victorian architecture to the red sandstone cliffs. Sample homemade island jams, visit the Anne of Green Gables homestead and stroll the boardwalk.

DAY 5: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
SYDNEY,            NOVA SCOTIA The coal industry brought immigration from many parts of the world, giving Sydney a multicultural mix of over 50 ethnic backgrounds and a global flavor to its history. Located on Cape Breton Island, Sydney is also an ideal jumping-off point for scenic adventures. Excursions to Cape Breton Island / Cabot Trail are available with NCL.

DAY 6: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17
HALIFAX,            NOVA SCOTIA Admire the rugged coastline that surrounds Halifax, the world’s second-largest natural harbor. This beautifully preserved city is Nova Scotia’s capital and was founded in 1749. Take steps through history and climb to The Citadel to witness the Old Town Clock. Don’t miss Peggy’s Cove if you have the chance to take this excursion.

DAY 7: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
SAINT JOHN, BAY OF FUNDY, NEW BRUNSWICK Saint John’s history is evident in its weather-worn look, passing the tests of salt air, sea winds and a devastating fire that have all contributed to making Saint John the greatest little city in the east. Be sure to look for your ship in the port against the beauty of the Bay of Fundy from Fort Howe lookout. The Hopewell Rocks is one of the optional excursions you may choose from today!

DAY 8: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19
BAR HARBOR, MAINE This coastal attraction has retained much of its charm since its glory days of the 1900s, when America’s elite vacationed here in opulent summer cottages. Surrounding the rock-bound harbor is the world-famous Acadia National Park where the opulence of nature is on display. Lobster, Acadia National Park await you here!

DAY 9: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20
BOSTON Morning arrival in Boston .As we say goodbye to the Gem, our coach will be waiting! Your baggage will be transferred to the coach for you, all you have to do is disembark and we’ll take care of the rest. We will be joined by a local guide and enjoy a Boston City Tour before we head for home.  We’ll make comfort and meal stops on the way. After a brief stop at the Duty Free and clearing Canadian Customs, we will arrive back in Kingston at approximately 10 p.m… With wonderful memories and big smiles, we will be wondering… “Where are we going next?”
