8:00 am A warm welcome to our fellow travelling friends, old and new, and get ready for a wonderful adventure to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick! Arrive this morning at the Maple Leaf Lounge/Kingston Shrine Club (3260 Princess Street at Collins Bay Road), come on inside to check in with your Maple Leaf Tour Director and meet your fellow travelling companions before we get underway! Today we will make our way to Edmundston for our first overnight at the Four Points Edmundston, Phone 506-739-7321. Get to know your fellow travelling companions over our included welcome dinner this evening. Afterwards, the rest of the evening is yours to relax! (D)

Day 2 MLT Tuesday, July 21

We start our day with a wonderful breakfast before continuing into the province of New Brunswick before arriving in the beautiful city of Moncton. We will stay overnight at the Delta Beausejour (506-854-4344). Once again, dinner is included tonight. (B) (D)

Day 3 - 5 MLT Wednesday, July 22 - Friday, July 24
After a buffet breakfast we will depart the hotel and be following the Fundy Coastal Drive. Hopewell Rocks should prove to be one of the highlights of our tour. Curious rock formations have been formed by the massive tides. We have hired a local guide to educate us on this fascinating attraction, which made the short list on the “New Seven Wonders of the World”. Our destination tonight is Halifax. Our hotel for the next 3 nights is the Courtyard by Marriott Halifax Downtown, across from the waterfront, next to Alexander Keith’s Brewery and steps from museums, art galleries, dining and shopping! (902) 428-1900. We’ll have a welcome dinner this evening.
Each morning you will enjoy a hot breakfast before our local host joins us for guided touring of this fascinating city. (B) (D)
Thursdsay: We will join a local guide for our city tour, an informative and fun filled ride through the streets of Halifax to learn about the history and culture of the city. Hear of Halifax’s war years and of the exploits and heroism of the citizens who lived through the devastating Halifax Explosion. Visit the Fairview Lawn Cemetery to learn about the local connection to the Titanic Disaster. From tales of disaster and triumph to remarkable stories of everyday life, discover the people and places that have made Halifax one of the most unique and captivating cities in North America! We’ll finish our tour on the Halifax waterfront where there will be time for browsing the quaint shops and having lunch on your own.
This afternoon, we’ll head to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Canada’s Oldest and Largest Maritime Museum. The Museum is a valuable historical, cultural and educational institution. It is the largest site in Nova Scotia that collects and interprets various elements of Nova Scotia’s marine history. Visitors are introduced to the age of steamships, local small craft, the Royal Canadian and Merchant Navies, World War II convoys and The Battle of the Atlantic, the Halifax Explosion of 1917, and Nova Scotia’s role in the aftermath of the Titanic disaster.
The balance of the day will be yours to enjoy as you please: explore the Boardwalk, visit the Casino or relax at our lovely downtown hotel, close to everything! (B)
Friday: Today we travel to Peggy’s Cove, one of the most popular stops in Atlantic Canada. Built in 1915, Peggy’s Point Lighthouse still keeps watch over surging ocean waves and working lobster boats. Amble over giant rocks worn smooth by the sea and share in the view. The renowned fishing village and famous lighthouse set on rocky shores are a photographer’s paradise. Despite its popularity this tiny fishing village has been able to keep the same relaxed atmosphere that has made it famous. The scenery is spectacular. We’ll return to Halifax in time for you to enjoy the area and have lunch on your own before we visit Pier 21.
Countless journeys. One Canada. The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 shares the ongoing story of immigration to Canada from coast to coast to coast, past and present. For some of us, our ancestors paved the way. For others, a more recent voyage brought us here.
At the Museum, you will experience the moving journeys that many families took to start a new life in Canada. Step into the past & experience what it was like for nearly one million immigrants between 1928 and 1971 in the Pier 21 Story exhibition. Explore 400 years of immigration history and newcomer’s contributions and impressions in the Canadian Immigration Hall. Discover the family history of one in five Canadians, perhaps even yours, at Canada’s last standing ocean immigration terminal.
The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy before we meet for a wonderful, included dinner together. (B) (D)
Day 6 MLT Saturday, July 25

After our hot breakfast, we will begin our drive to Digby, Nova Scotia to catch the ferry to St. Johns. There is a cafeteria, video arcade, discovery zone, and a movie presentation for you to utilize during the 2.5 hour crossing. St John is perched at the mouth of the scenic St. John River. From the ocean floor to the dance floor, this dynamic port city is equal parts charm and adventure. Picturesque waterfront. Beautifully preserved architecture. Bustling city farmers market. St. John’s striking historic downtown core has an intriguing past with a modern edge—quaint steep narrow streets lined with great mix of shops, boutiques and an exciting nightlife and culinary scene—urban bistros, lively pubs, fine urban dining, authentic ethnic eateries, and of course, some of the most delicious seafood around. We will be spending the next 2 nights at the Delta St. John (506) 648-1981. The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to discover. (B)

Day 7 MLT Sunday, July 26

After today’s hot breakfast, we will have a daylong tour of St. John and the surrounding area. Highlights included: Reversing Falls, Wolastog Park, Carleton Tower, Container Village Area 506, Kings Square Park, Loyalist Burial Ground, St Martins, back to Reversing Falls for low tide to see how the rapids had increased since the morning. Once back at the hotel we will have an included Maritime Buffet together. (B) (D)

Day 8 MLT Monday, July 27

After our breakfast, we retrace our steps, through New Brunswick, where we spend our final night, once again at The Four Points by Sheraton (506)739-7321. Before arriving at our hotel, we will enjoy a wonderful guided tour of Fredericton. As our Maritime holiday comes to and end, we’ll share an included farewell dinner together tonight. (B) (D)

Day 9 MLT Tuesday, July 28

This morning after an included breakfast, we’ll begin the final leg of our journey, making comfort and meal stops along the way. With happy memories of our wonderful Maritime adventure, we’ll arrive home with thoughts of where will we go next? (B)
