Day 1 Monday, Aug 31 - Charlevoix

8:00 am A warm welcome to one and all as we meet our fellow travel companions at the Kingston Shrine Club, 3260 Princess Street at Collins Bay Road. Let’s check in with your Maple Leaf Tour Director before we depart to begin our Quebec and Charlevoix Experience! We’ll have a mid morning comfort break on our way.
12:00 pm We’ll stop in St-Hyacinthe for lunch on your own.
5:30 pm Prepare to be amazed as we arrive in Baie Ste. Catherine in the Charlevoix region at the majestic Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu https://www.fairmont.com/richelieu-charlevoix/ (418) 665-3703. Unpack and settle in. Perched above the St. Lawrence River, this luxury hotel in a 1929 chateau is next to le Casino de Charlevoix. 7:00 pm This evening, a wonderful welcome dinner together awaits as we dine amongst incredible surroundings, followed by free time to wander the spectacular grounds of this historic property. The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy as you please. (D)

Day 2 Tuesday, Sep 1 - Charlevoix

his morning enjoy an included full breakfast buffet at your leisure and take time to wander and enjoy the beauty of the St. Lawrence in front of you! This morning you’ll have free time to explore the vast grounds and incredible property, inside and outside. Enjoy the morning as you wish!
11:00 am After a leisurely morning we will board the coach to begin our day
12:00 pm We’ll arrive in Baie Ste-Catherine where you’ll have time to have lunch on your own and enjoy the maritime of the area.
1:45 pm Depart for the whale-watching cruise from the dock in Baie-Sainte-Catherine. Be prepared for the beauty of the St. Lawrence and the whales that surround you! Meet the giants of the sea aboard the safe nature experience aboard the AML Grand Fleuve, a comfortable boat specially designed for observing marine mammals! On this vast ship, our bilingual naturalist-guides will teach you more about the giants of the sea and the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park. Encounter with whales, the most majestic creatures on the plant with an exceptional panoramic view! Discover the most beautiful whale watching site in the world and enjoy the interpretation by a naturalist guide. Whales are guaranteed!!
6:00 pm Dinner is on your own this evening, as you wish. The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy as you please. Relax on the terrace, discover the beauty of the region as you stroll the stunning pathways overlooking the St. Lawrence River, try your luck at the adjoining Casino de Charlevoix or enjoy a glass of wine by the outdoor fireplace. Day 3 Wednesday, September 2 - Saguenay

8:00 am Start your day with a wonderful breakfast at the Manoir.
11:00 am Today we’ll experience the adventure of a lifetime – a cruise into the Saguenay Fjords!! We’ll have a ½ day of exploring this incredible area! This cruise is the perfect option to relax, unwind and reflect. You’ll get to take in the Fjord and its breathtaking cliffs. Explore the fjord from Tadoussac! This one way excursion will take us up the Saguenay where you’ll see the highest rock formations in the fjord on the way back. We’ll enjoy an included lunch together as we sit in awe of the beauty that surrounds us! This afternoon, we will return to the Manoir in time for you to enjoy the rest of the day on your own. Try your luck at the Casino next door or simply meander the halls of this beautiful “Castle” along the banks of the St. Lawrence River. The remainder of the evening is yours to spend as you please! Surrounded by such beauty on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in this castle, you’ll have to pinch yourself.
5: 30 pm Maison du Bootlegger (Bootlegger’s house), a “Speakeasy”! A fantastic story! Upon arrival, the visitor is introduced to the mystery of the first secret staircase leading to the “Speakeasy” in the attic, he must first descend to better ascend. Be shown the camouflaged bar that supplied the house through the exterior wall and do not miss the authentic signature of Elvis Presley. You will visit the private living room, bedrooms and the “games room”. Note the still, the old photographs, and the furniture that adorns the premises. It is a real museum to discover. The visitor will remain surprised in front of this colorful residence just like the character who operated it for more than forty years! Day 4 Thursday, September 3 - Home

7:00 am Breakfast is once again at your leisure as enjoy a relaxing morning.
9:00 am We’ll check out of our hotel and begin our travel homeward. We’ll drive along the beautiful St. Lawrence River and enjoy the lovely scenery as we go.
11:00 am We’ll stop for lunch in Quebec City’s Place Royale and Petite Champlain as well as time to browse the quaint shops on the cobblestone laneways and have time for lunch on your own.
1:00 pm We’ll leave Quebec City and continue our travel home with a comfort stop and dinner break on the way.
8:00 pm Approximate arrival back home. (B)
