Elora (often spelled Alora), Ontario, transforms into a magical European-style winter wonderland during the holidays. The highlight is the Elora Christmas Market, located on Francis Lane and the Elora Mews, featuring 150 decorated trees, cedar huts with artisan goods, and thousands of twinkling lights. The Musical “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will delight us all as we complete our festive tour to kick off the holiday season!

Day 1 Friday, Nov 13 - St. Jacobs

7:45 am Good Morning as you arrive at the Maple Leaf Lounge at the Kingston Portuguese Cultural Centre, 959 Division Street, at John Counter Boulevard (former Voyageur Bus Terminal). Come on in for a warm hello, check in with our Maple Leaf Tour Director and collect your luggage tags.
8:00 am With our new travelling friends, we’ll depart from Kingston picking up friends along the way. We will make a comfort stop on our way before jumping on the 407 Express Highway across Toronto to make our travel smooth sailing.
12:30 pm We’ll arrive in St. Jacobs in time for a lovely, included lunch.
2:30 pm Picard’s Peanuts is a must stop to finish our time in St. Jacobs.
3:00 pm The Mennonite Story at The Mennonite Story Museum. We will gather at the Mennonite Story museum, located in a log cabin conveniently situated in the heart of the Farmers’ Market. We will meet our guide, a member of the local community as well as watch a video presentation inside a replica of an Old Order Mennonite church.
4:00 pm Let’s check in! The Homewood Suites by Hilton Waterloo/St. Jacobs an all-suite extended-stay hotel located just steps from the St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market – A slice of St. Jacobs village charm! (519) 514-0088. Enjoy free Wi-Fi internet access, in room kitchen and indoor pool.
5:00 pm This evening we’ll be treated to a wonderful catered Mennonite dinner at our hotel. Our authentic Mennonite meal will be served buffet-style, and our
Mennonite host will join us and speak about Mennonite food and traditions.
6:30 pm After a wonderful dinner, we’ll transfer to St. Jacob’s Village where we’ll enjoy SPARKLES, A Holiday Event!! Bask in the spirit of the holidays in the festive village with thousands of twinkling lights as the spirit of Christmas fills the air. Village events to be announced in early autumn. (L) (D)

Day 2 Saturday, Nov 14 - Elora

Enjoy a wonderful, included breakfast this morning at your leisure.
9:00 am Ho, Ho, Holy Shopping time at the St. Jacob’s Farmers Market!
12:00 pm Conestoga Mall in Waterloo is the largest shopping Centre in Waterloo! You’ll have time to do a little Christmas shopping as well as grab lunch on your own.
2:30 pm Welcome to Elora! With a local guide, we’ll delight in an Elora/Fergus Tour
5:00 pm Dinner in Elora at the wonderful Gorge Country Kitchen
6:30 pm Elora Christmas Markets! “Ontario’s Prettiest Village” (A.J. Casson, Group of Seven) awaits aglow with an incredible 88,000 energy efficient twinkling lights, designer Chalet cedar huts offering artisan goods, comfort eats & hot drinks, plein-air fire tables to gather round, live music performances, and so, so much more…
8:00 pm We’ll return to our hotel with festive smiles! (B)(D)

Day 3 Sunday, Nov 15 - Home

Enjoy a wonderful included breakfast this morning at your leisure.
9:00 am Waterloo Museum – Memories of a Mennonite Kitchen: We’ll visit the Martin House in Doon Heritage Village for an Old Order Mennonite kitchen experience. Learn about typical meals and sample some Mennonite favorites from the early 20th century. Explore the house from attic to cellar to see how food was stored and prepared. Included with be a presentation and home viewing with food samples!
12::00 pm Lunch at Borealis Grille & Bar to finish off our wonderful festive tour!
1:30 pm We will jump on the 407 Express Highway to zip across Toronto and have a comfort stop on the OnRoute for a comfort stop.
