Day 1
Monday, Sep 14
Good Morning! Welcome one and all to the Maple Leaf Lounge at the Kingston Shrine Club, 3260 Princess Street at Collins Bay Road. (All departure points and times listed below). Coach boarding will begin at 6:30 am at the Kingston Shrine Club for a 7:00 am departure. With new friends and travel companions, we will travel east towards the state of Massachusetts. Welcome to MASSACHUSETTS, the “Bay State” and the sandy shores of CAPE COD! Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at the RIVIERA BEACH RESORT and will assist with check-in. Unpack, relax, take a stroll on the private beach and bask in the breathtaking oceanfront views of Nantucket Sound. At 7:00 pm we’ll enjoy an included dinner next door at the Blue Water Resort. Then we’ll relax as we settle in to our home for the next four nights. (D)
Day 2
Tuesday, Sep 15
7:00am Enjoy an included breakfast this morning at our resort and get ready for an awesome day on the Cape!
8:30 am Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at your resort for a full day of touring. You will travel historic ROUTE 6A, the Old King’s Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. View a Windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit the CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE VISITOR’S CENTER. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach “Land’s End” – PROVINCETOWN. You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the “Province Lands” the pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique. Lunch is on your own today.
2:00 pm Board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of WHALE WATCHING. (3 hours) You will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer any of your questions about the whales, birds, fish, and lighthouses. OR YOU MAY CHOOSE TO STAY ON DRY LAND: Admission is included on a one-hour DUNE TOUR excursion. Ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the largest protected coastline in the country. Your driver/guide will point out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art. Enjoy an included dinner this evening. (B) (D)
Day 3
Wednesday, Sep 16
7:00 am Again this morning, breakfast is included at our resort.
8:00 am Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at your resort and will escort you to the HY-LINE DOCKS for ticketing and boarding of the 9:00 am ferry to the island of MARTHA’S VINEYARD. Upon arrival at 10:00 am, you will board a local bus for a SIGHTSEEING TOUR. You will learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders as you pass through Vineyard Haven. There will be free time for lunch and shopping in the historic whaling town of Edgartown. Complete your day on the island in Oak Bluffs. You may choose to stroll through “Cottage City” with its brightly painted cottages and decorative “gingerbread” trim.
3:35 pm Depart the island, arriving back on the mainland at 4:35 pm. Enjoy an included dinner this evening. (B)(D)
Day 4
Thursday, Sep 17
7:00 am Once again breakfast is included this morning.
8:30 am Welcome to Benson’s Pond Farm for a CRANBERRY BOG Tour. Your bog guide will show you examples of an existing bog, currently in production, and will discuss the stages of the cranberry growing process. There are two methods of harvesting, and you may even see it happening. Learn from the expert cranberry growers about farming and harvesting this fruit named “cranberry” by the Pilgrims. Next, you will travel to America’s Hometown – PLYMOUTH. Home of our Pilgrim Fathers and one of the country’s first settlements, it is well known in the United States for its historical value. A picture stop will be made at the Forefather’s Monument, the largest, solid granite monument in the United States. She stands facing the harbor, welcoming those who come by water. A picture stop will also be made at Plymouth Rock, the traditional site of disembarkation of the Pilgrims in 1620. View the newly restored Mayflower II, a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World.
3:00 pm Embark on a coastal adventure with Plymouth Cruises aboard the Lobstering Eco Tour. Discover the diverse marine life that inhabits historic Plymouth Harbor on this interactive and educational experience. Enjoy a hands-on look at how lobsters are sustainably harvested from their natural habitat. Guests are invited to roll up their sleeves and help haul real lobster traps alongside our experienced crew, gaining insight into local fishing traditions and coastal conservation efforts. LOBSTER DINNER is included this evening. Alternate entrées will be available for any “landlubbers” not wishing to eat shellfish. (B) (D)

Friday, Sep 18
6:30 am One more breakfast together before we check out of the hotel to head home. Depart Cape Cod with sand in your shoes, seashells in your pocket and many fond memories of your MAPLE LEAF TOUR to CAPE COD! (B)
