Day 1
FRI, NOV 27 / SAT, DEC 5 - QUEBEC CITY
8:00 am Welcome one and all to the Maple Leaf Lounge at the Kingston Shrine Club (2360 Princess Street at Collins Bay Road). Come on in and say hello to your Maple Leaf Tour Director and meet your fellow travelling companions as we begin our Quebec City Christmas experience! We’ll enjoy a mid morning comfort break on the way.
12:00 pm Lunch today is on your own as we stop in Saint-Hyacinthe, on our way to La Belle Province!
4:00 pm Oh La La, You’ll be in awe as we arrive in Quebec City at our hotel, the Hotel Clarendon www.hotelclarendon.com (418) 692-2480 inside the fortification walls! A unique experience at the oldest hotel, dating from 1870, this elegant hotel has been completely renovated for an incredible stay! Located in the heart of Old Quebec, the Hotel Clarendon is across from City Hall, a lovely walk across the park to the world famous Chateau Frontenac and minutes away from La Citadelle de Québec, shops, galleries and restaurants of Quartier Petit Champlain.
5:30 pm Settle in and unpack before we enjoy an
included welcome dinner at the Hotel Clarendon followed by free time to wander the quaint streets of Old Quebec on your own to explore and discover the magic of Quebec! Some of the German Christmas Markets are directly in front of our hotel and scattered throughout this quaint city! Stroll the quaint streets of old Quebec at your leisure, shop, browse, and take in the beauty that surrounds you! (D)
Day 2
SAT, NOV 28 / SUN, DEC 6 - QUEBEC CITY
7:00 am We’ll start our day with a lovely included breakfast, at your leisure, at our hotel
9:00 am As we begin our delightful day, we’ll be joined by our local guide, in period costume, and begin an amazing day along the Beaupre Coast. With our guide, we will travel along the shore of the St. Lawrence River and explore the Quebec Countryside including The Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, view Montmorency Falls and visit Albert Gilles Copper Museum.
1:00 pm We’ll have a festive lunch together on the Island or Orleans! We are in for a treat as we visit a Sugar Shack for a traditional Quebecois lunch and festive traditional entertainment with singing and dancing! After an enjoyable afternoon we will transfer back to Quebec City!
2:30 pm Our day will continue with a visit to Lower Town, Place Royale, where you have time to explore this delightful area and shop the quint boutiques that line the Petit-Champlain. As you gaze down upon Petit-Champlain, a charming pedestrian street stretching along the foot of the cliff, you would think you were looking at a postcard come to life. In the winter, the scene is even more sublime when Christmas lights are twinkling and the snow gently falling. After free time shopping, our coach will return us to our hotel.
4:30 pm After a delightful day, our coach will return us to our hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day as you please. (If you would like to remain in Lower Town / Petit Champlain simply let your Tour Director know). There are numerous restaurants to tempt your palate as the joyous festive spirit envelopes the entire area! Your Maple Leaf Tour Director will point out some delightful restaurants inside the walled city! Stroll the quaint streets of old Quebec at your leisure, shop, browse or enjoy the beauty that surrounds you! (B) (L)
Day 3
SUN, NOV 29 / MON, DEC 7 - HOME
7:00 am Again this morning, a full breakfast buffet is included at our hotel to enjoy at your leisure! Let’s check out and enjoy a wonderful festive morning! For those who prefer to remain at the hotel and explore the area, we will return to pick you up at 12 noon.
10:00 am Le Grand Marche (the Big Market) awaits! The Grand Marché offers its visitors privileged contact with more than a hundred producers and processors in the region. Located in the largest public square in Quebec City and hosting many activities in its places, it offers a renewed experience to the rhythm of the seasons and arrivals.
Let’s visit Le Salon des Artisans de Quebec! At the Salon des artisans de Québec, find various handicrafts and unique works of art under one roof, as well as many agri-food products from Quebec.
Particular attention is paid to the quality, diversity and originality of the products offered. From year to
year, the team works to bring changes and novelties in order to constantly improve the different aspects of this unique event in Quebec. At this time of year, come choose a gift made with passion at the Salon des artisans de Québec.
12:00 pm After a wonderful festive weekend, we’ll begin our journey home! A comfort break and dinner stop will be made along the way for you to pick up a quick bite.
