Day 1 MLT Friday, October 2

8 am Welcome one and all to the Maple Leaf Lounge at the Kingston Shrine Club, 3260 Princess Street at Collins Bay Road, as we meet our fellow travelling companions and prepare for our exciting adventure together. We will depart from Kingston and we’ll pick up our travelling companions along the way. Regular stops will be made en route for stretching, coffee, and lunch. Our destination tonight is Sudbury, where we overnight at the new Hilton Garden Inn Sudbury, (705) 586–3001. Relax this evening at the indoor pool or hot tub and enjoy dinner on your own.

Day 2 MLT Saturday, October 3

After an included breakfast, we’ll depart for Science North. Science North maintains the second largest science center in Canada: Science North, featuring an IMAX®. This morning we will enjoy the IMAX presentation, before allowing you some free time to explore on your own. (IMAX to be confirmed Summer 2023) Lunch will be on your own before resuming our journey across Northern Ontario towards Sault Ste Marie.
Upon arrival, we will visit the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre! We’ll enjoy a guided tour followed by a private catered dinner in the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre – a spectacular evening you’re not soon to forget! After this delightful evening, we will check in to our hotel, Delta, Sault Ste Marie Waterfront, Phone (705) 949-0611. Located in beautiful downtown Sault Ste. Marie, this hotel boasts a restaurant/lounge, as well as an indoor pool, sauna & fitness center for your enjoyment. Our guestrooms feature 2 double beds, in-room coffee maker and TV. Giving you time to relax and freshen up, the remainder of the evening is free to explore , enjoy the hotel facilities or stroll the beautiful waterfront boardwalk. (B) (D)

Day 3 MLT Sunday, October 4

Departing early, we head to Algoma Central Railway where we will be welcomed aboard one of the most spectacular train excursions in North America, the Agawa Canyon Tour Train! We will be travelling 114 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie, crossing towering trestles, along pristine Northern lakes and rivers, through the awesome granite rock formations and mixed forests of the Canadian Shield. Breakfast this morning is provided on the train. (Note: The Steam Train schedule will be confirmed in spring 2026)

  • 12:00 pm Just when you thought you’d seen it all, we coast 500 feet down to the floor of the Agawa Canyon where you have an hour and a half to experience the rugged beauty up close. Enjoy the scenic hiking trails, cascading waterfalls and speckled trout feeding in one of the pools or an invigorating climb to the breathtaking Canyon Lookout. If you are looking for something a little more relaxing you can visit the Souvenir Car or pull up a bench and watch the Agawa River flow by. Lunch this afternoon is provided on the train.
  • 1:30 pm We board the Agawa Canyon Train and take the beautiful ride back to Sault Ste. Marie.
  • 6:00 pm We will transfer back to our waterfront hotel for the evening where you are free to relax and enjoy the facilities or stroll the waterfront boardwalk, taking in the beautiful surroundings. Dinner tonight is on your own. (B) (L)
Day 4 MLT Monday, October 5

After a buffet breakfast at our hotel, we depart Sault Ste. Marie traveling to the very scenic Manitoulin Island. We will stop at South Baymouth on the island, where there is a winding boardwalk as well as number of shops and places to get lunch. Lunch is on your own. After lunch, we will board the Chi-Cheemaun ferry for our 2 hour transport to Tobermory at the Bruce Peninsula. Once we reach Tobermory we will have an included farewell dinner together. Our final destination this evening is Owen Sound.
Upon arrival we check-in to our hotel, Best Western Inn on the Bay in Owen Sound, Phone (519) 371-9200. This hotel features a restaurant and lounge plus an indoor pool & hot tub. The remainder of the evening is free for you to relax. (B) (D)

Day 5 MLT Tuesday, October 6

After a lovely classic breakfast buffet at the hotel, we depart on the final leg of our journey, travelling through Collingwood and Barrie. We expect an evening arrival home with happy thoughts of “where are we going next?” (B)
