Day 1 MLT Saturday, September 19 - Fly to London

A warm welcome to one and all as we meet our fellow travel companions at the Maple Leaf Lounge at the Kingston Shrine Club, 3260 Princess Street at Collins Bay Road. Let’s check in with your Maple Leaf Tour Director before we depart to begin our British Isles Experience! Meet our travelling companions and depart Kingston, travelling to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport for our Flight to London! (flights to be confirmed)

Day 2 MLT Sunday, September 20 - London

We’ll arrive early this morning and will be met by our local professional tour manager and private motor coach at the airport. We’ll enjoy a panoramic coach tour into London passing some of the iconic sights as we travel to our hotel, Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington or similar. After you’ve had time to rest and unpack, we’ll enjoy an included dinner tonight. (D)

Day 3 MLT Monday, September 21 - London

After breakfast we’ll be joined by our local professional tour manager and private motor coach that will be with us for the duration of our British Isles Tour ! With individual Whispaheadsets we’ll begin our day! We’ll visit the Tower of London and see the famous ravens, the Crown Jewels. We’ll enjoy an included lunch within the Tower of London with centuries of history around us! We’ll travel throughout London viewing the iconic sights during which all the major sights of both London’s old city and vibrant West End will be seen. After a lovely day of touring, we’ll return to our hotel where you can rest and enjoy dinner on your own at any of the area pubs and restaurants. (B) (L)

Day 4 MLT Tuesday, September 22 - London

Breakfast is included at our hotel before we enjoy a full day in London with our London Tour Manager. We’ll see the Changing of the Guard, when scheduled, admission to Westminster Abbey, famous for so many national events over the centuries, most recently of course as the venue for the wedding of the now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Join a vessel for a cruise on the River Thames from Westminster to Tower Pier. After a full day of touring we’ll have dinner together before we return to hotel. (B)(D)

Day 5 MLT Wednesday, September 23 - London, Midlands & North West England

Enjoy an included breakfast in our hotel before we journey north and visit Stratford upon Avon.Highlights are William Shakespeare’s home town, where you have free time and admission to visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace in Henley Street and the family home of his wife Anne Hathaway’s Cottage –Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust. Continue to overnight in Chester – dinner included in the hotel (B) (D)

Day 6 MLT Thursday, September 24 - Chester, Liverpool

Again, breakfast is included in our hotel. We’ll enjoy a morning walk and short boat trip in Chester before our afternoon excursion to Liverpool. Admission is included to The Beatles Story at Albert Dock. Charting the story of the world’s most famous group from humble beginnings in Liverpool to worldwide superstardom, the Beatles Story is the definitive Beatles museum with some superb memorabilia and interactive displays. We’ll also have a photo stops at Penny Lane, The Cavern Club and Strawberry Fields! We’ll continue on to Chester where you can soak in the atmosphere created by an abundance of black & white buildings set in a circuit of glorious city walls. Within the walls, are the city’s delights like the enchanting Eastgate Clock and the 1000 year old Cathedral, a haven of reflective tranquility in a lively, bustling, cosmopolitan centre. Chester’s crowning glory however are the 13th century Rows – two-tiers of shops running along the main streets. We will overnight and you are free to enjoy the evening having dinner on your own.(B)

Day 7 MLT Friday, September 25 - North West England, Ireland

Breakfast again is included in our hotel before we cross North Wales and catch a late morning fast ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. We’ll meet a local guide for panoramic sightseeing tour of Dublin with admission included to Guinness Storehouse and a pint of “the black stuff” for those who wish and an opportunity to pour your own pint of course! We’ll overnight in Dublin where you’ll have dinner on your own. Our local guide can suggest places to eat or to enjoy the wilder side of Dublin if your prefer! (B)

Day 8 MLT Saturday, September 26 - Dublin, Belfast

After breakfast included in the hotel, we will be joined by a local guide and visit the 16th Century Trinity College to view the medieval manuscript known as The Book of Kells and the Book of Kells Experience. Enjoy a tasting at the included Irish Whiskey centre before a journey “over the border” to Belfast for an afternoon brief tour with admission to The Titanic Exhibition. We’ll overnight in Belfast and enjoy an included dinner in the hotel. (B) (D)

Day 9 MLT Sunday, September 27 - Giants Causeway, Game of Thrones

Before we begin our day, enjoy an included breakfast in the hotel. We’ll have a full day in Northern Ireland – excursion will go as far and include the Giant’s Causeway, an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption. We’ll drive this part of the world and see locations associated with The Game of Thrones with a full day local guide. Tonight we will overnight in Belfast where dinner will be on your own. (B)

Day 10 MLT Monday, September 28 - Belfast, Glasgow

Once again, breakfast is included in the hotel before our early start today to reach the nearby docks for the ferry crossing to Scotland, from Belfast to Cairnryan. A journey close to the Ayrshire coast brings us to Glasgow – Scotland’s buzzing largest city where we’ll overnight and share an included dinner in the hotel. (B,D)

Day 11 MLT Tuesday, September 29 - Glasgow, Loch Lomond

Enjoy breakfast included in the hotel before we meet our local guide for the day. Start the day with a tour of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum which for generations of Glaswegians has deep and personal significance. Included city tour with time in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. This afternoon our excursion is a cruise on Loch Lomond amidst the wonderful scenery, journey in The Trossachs and of course a visit with a sample if desired to a Scotch Whisky distillery. Tonight we’ll overnight once again in Glasgow where dinner will be on your own. (B)

Day 12 MLT Wednesday, September 30 - Scotland, Edinburgh

After an included breakfast in the hotel, we’ll cross the central belt of Scotland and arrive in Stirling for an included visit to the Castle before continuing to Edinburgh to meet a local guide for a panoramic sightseeing tour. This morning visit the medieval fortress that is Edinburgh Castle, built on an extinct volcano in the centre of Edinburgh. Within the Castle see collections of weapons and armour, visit the Royal apartments and the room where Mary, Queen of Scots gave birth to the boy who was to become King James VI of Scotland and James 1 of England. Take in the magnificent views across the old and new towns from the battlements and watch the traditional firing of the One O’clock Gun. We will check in to our hotel and enjoy an included dinner together tonight. We’ll be staying in Edinburgh for the next 2 nights. (B,D)

Day 13 MLT Thursday, October 1 - Edinburgh

After breakfast included in the hotel once again, you will have a free day to explore and discover Edinburgh on your own! Together we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner with a Scottish flavour and entertainment! The perfect way to complete our tour! (B, D)

Day 14 MLT Friday, October 2 - Home

After an included breakfast in the hotel, we’ll check out and head to the airport for our flight home. (B)
