Day1 MLT Thursday, July 2

7:00 am Welcome one and all! This morning, we begin our journey to Halifax traveling through Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick where we will spend our first night in Edmundston, New Brunswick. We will stay overnight at The Four Points by Sheraton (506)739-7321. Together we’ll enjoy an included welcome dinner tonight. (D)

Day 2 MLT Friday, July 3

After a buffet breakfast we will depart the hotel and be following the complete Coastal Drive. Our destination tonight is Halifax. Our hotel for the next 4 nights is the Courtyard Halifax Downtown (902)-428-1900 downtown Halifax, walking distance to local attractions, the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk and Casino Nova Scotia. Over the next few days we will enjoy all the Halifax has to offer. Each morning you will enjoy a hot breakfast before our local host joins us for a three hour guided tour of this fascinating city. We will join a local guide for an informative and fun filled ride through the streets of Halifax to learn about the history and culture of the city. Hear of Halifax’s war years and of the exploits and heroism of the citizens who lived through the devastating Halifax Explosion. Visit the Fairview Lawn Cemetery to learn about the local connection to the Titanic Disaster. From tales of disaster and triumph to remarkable stories of everyday life, discover the people and places that have made Halifax one of the most unique and captivating cities in North America! Once we check in, the balance of the day and evening are free to explore on your own so tonight, begin exploring Halifax! Check out some of the fine area restaurants and pubs within walking distance or test Lady Luck at the Casino Nova Scotia. (B)

Day 3 MLT Saturday, July 4
Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel this morning before we head out for a wonderful day of touring! We’ll be joined today with a local guide and enjoy a three-hour guided tour of Halifax, featuring the Historic Waterfront, the Halifax Citadel Historic Site and one of three cemeteries where Titanic unclaimed victims are buried. We’ll finish our morning back at the hotel, downtown Halifax where you will have free time to wander, have lunch on your own or change before we transfer to the Scotiabank Centre.
Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo at the Scotiabank Centre (a five-minute walk from our hotel)! They’ve planned a show that will be remembered for years to come. So much more information is available on www.nstattoo.ca . This afternoon we claim our top priced seats to one of the world’s premier cultural and entertainment events. The Tattoo is truly a masterpiece of colour, music, artistry, athleticism and nostalgia. Sit back and marvel at this 2 ½ hour show. The balance of the day is free to experience downtown Halifax! Tonight, we’ll be treated to a lobster dinner this evening. Enjoy your choice of Lobster or alternative to round out this Nova Scotia experience.
Day 4 MLT Sunday, July 5

Start the day with your hot and cold buffet breakfast at your hotel.
Today we travel to Peggy’s Cove, one of the most popular stops in Atlantic Canada. The renowned fishing village and famous lighthouse set on rocky shores are a photographer’s paradise. The scenery is spectacular, and the tiny village retains the relaxed atmosphere and small town charm that made it famous. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy Halifax, your way! (B)

Day 5 MLT Monday, July 6
Enjoy another buffet breakfast this morning. With our local guide, we’ll begin a fun morning of explorations! All attractions today are within a short walking distance of our hotel! We’ll visit Pier 21 a newly restored award-winning National Historic Site that tells the stories of 1.5 million immigrants, war brides, displaced children and Canadian military personnel who passed through its doors between 1928 and 1971. For a truly Nova Scotian good time, we’ll visit Alexander Keith’s Brewery. Actors in period costume will lead you back in time as you learn about the beer, the brewery and life in Halifax in 1863. Of course, we’ll finish off the tour with a sample of Keith’s fine ale- it’s the perfect tour for people of all ages! Next, we visit the state of the art Maritime Museum of the Atlantic for a self guided tour. Halifax was the closest major port at the sinking of the Titanic, all bodies and artifacts were brought to Halifax. The Maritime Museum is considered to have the finest collection of wooden artifacts available for viewing. The afternoon is on your own to delight in the wonderful city of Halifax – your way! On this, our final night in Halfax, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner tonight to remenise about our wonderful Nova Scotia holiday! (B) (D)
Day 6 MLT Tuesday, July 7

After our breakfast, we retrace our steps, through the province of Nova Scotia, back into New Brunswick. We will begin our drive to Digby, Nova Scotia to catch the ferry to St. Johns. There is a cafeteria, video arcade, discovery zone, and a movie presentation for you to utilize during the 2.5 hour crossing. St John is perched at the mouth of the scenic St. John River. We’ll continue our journey home where we spend our final night together in Edmundston, New Brunswick. Again, we’ll overnight at The Four Points by Sheraton (506)739-7321. This evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure, have dinner on your own, reminisce with new friends and plan your next adventure. (B)

Day 7 MLT Wednesday, July 8

After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey home. Our travels take us back through Quebec and Ontario with an expected arrival home in the early evening with wonderful memories of our Maritime holiday! With thoughts of “Where are we going next?” and smiles galore at the excitement of our next adventure, we part until we meet again! (B)
